Review Action Man - Gangrene 2002 / Hasbro:Out to teach Action Man a lesson in destruction, Professor Gangrene is the most repulsive of the unholy trinity of arch-enemies in the range. Impressively packaged in a grim-green coloured box, who knows what horrors his protective body-armour conceals? With a gruesome green vulture-like visage, one bulging eye and a twisted grimace he looks like he's smelled a bad smell: himself, perhaps? And if you think that's bad, pull down on his arm and watch his face change. Suddenly you're confronted by a grotesque, gaping-mouthed monstrosity with the lolling tongue and straining veins of a madman. Tough and durable, Professor Gangrene is coated in metallic-looking moulded plastic with a red "G" badge on the chest. His only extra is a snazzy green gun, though his expression-changing rotating head is spectacular enough in itself-and when it comes to the crunch the only important extra is a little imagination. Action Man villains don't come any scarier than this and it should be remembered that, unlike the tamer baddies, this feller's face might give younger kiddies nightmares.
