Review Handley Victor SR. Mk.2 RAF Wyton, Hungtingdonshire, 1968 / Corgi AA31604:From Corgis Bomber Legends series is this 1:72 scale Handley Page Victor SR. Mk. 2, No 543 Squadron, RAF Wyton, Huntingdonshire, 1968. This Cold War legend is well tooled and finished to an extremely high level of quality with every detail, camouflage, squadron markings and landing gear accurately reproduced. The Victor B(SR). 2 proved to be an exceptional reconnaissance platform and was in service for around eight years before being retired three were then converted to K. 2 standard. The B was dropped in the designation when it was no longer a bomber. XL230 was converted to B(SR). 2 standard and entered service with No 543 Squadron at RAF Wyton, near Huntingdon, Cambridge in 1965 serving until 10th May 1973 when it was destroyed in a landing accident. [+]The Victor bounced during an asymmetrical landing, yawed on attempting to overshoot, hit the ground and blew up. This quality die-cast is a great addition to any collection.
