A wonderful model from the masters of detail, this battle worn Zero has been skilfully reproduced with accurate markings and a detailed cockpit canopy. The unit designation WI was used from June 1943 through to 1944 during which time CPO Okumura became one of the most famous aces in Japan by setting the Japanese Naval Air Force record for shooting down the most enemy aircraft in a single day. On 14th September 1943 Okumura shot down ten aircraft over Buin, a remarkable feat. This fantastic model will be a welcome addition to any collection.
