Review Thunderbirds Soundtech Super Set / Vivid Imaginations:Manufacturers Recommended Age Range: 3 and over. The ever popular, classic Thunderbirds series takes flight with this Six Vehicle Super Set featuring the key vehicles from the programme: Thunderbirds 1, Thunderbirds 2, Thunderbirds 3, Thunderbirds 4, FAB 1 and The Mole. Each vehicle features "soundtech" voices which, at the push of a button, ring out with familiar Thunderbirds phrases ranging from the famous "Thunderbirds are go!" to Lady Penelope's drawling, upper-class "Parker, we're going for a little ride. ". Thunderbird 2 can carry either Thunderbird 4(the yellow submarine used for deep sea missions) or The Mole (the powerful drilling machine used when the dangerzone is underground) in its "pod", which is released at the flick of a switch. The Mole and Thunderbird 4 are very small, so keep them away from small, unsupervised children, and the door of Thunderbird 4 is a little flimsy so in the wrong hands could be a choking hazard, but apart from those small details this set is the ideal gift for Thunderbirds fans young, and not so young. -Susan Harrison.

Review Thunderbirds Supersize Soundtech TB1 / Vivid Imaginations 5025123582689:Blast off with the Thunderbird 1 Play set. This spearhead craft of the International Rescue crew is fast and jet powered. The principal role of Thunderbird 1 is to get to the danger zone as quickly as possible so that pilot Scott Tracy can assess the situation and advise on specialist equipment required. Once assessed, he directs the rescue operation either from the cockpit of Thunderbird 1 or from the Mobile Control Console. Recreate this thrill with your own Thunderbird 1 Play set. As soon as that danger call arrives, let the exclusive articulated Scott figure climb into the lounge access of the rocket. Press the buttons on this Thunderbird 2 to hear the booster rockets spring into action and propel International Rescue to the heart of danger. The rocket wing folds out and trigger engine landing noises, as Scott calls "I hope we're not to late father". On landing, fold the rocket legs down. And if things get really tricky open up the fuselage to reveal the hoverbike and the mobile control unit. [+]
In all, the electronics of Thunderbird 1 contain 8 authentic F. A. B. phrases and engine sounds. Requires 3 AAA batteries (not included) Suitable for children aged 3-6 years old (and Thunderbirds fans of any age). -Victoria Mackenzie.

Review Thunderbirds Talking Action Figure - Virgil / Vivid Imaginations:If you are a Thunderbirds fan, a real Thunderbirds fan, you need the Virgil Tracy Talking Action Figure! Virgil comes with his own Laser Cutter, Visor and Pistol and, of course, is fully suited in his Thunderbirds flight uniform. But there is more. Virgil also speaks. By gently pressing on his chest, you can get him to say five different phrases-"ETA five minutes", "Let's get to work", "We'll need pod 4 Gordon", "This is International Rescue" and "Thunderbird 2 to base". The box helpfully informs you that Virgil is just 24 years old, was educated at the Denver School of Advanced Technology and is thus an "ideal pilot for Thunderbird 2". Virgil won't bend at the elbow, knee, wrist or ankle, but he can walk, swing his arms and turn his head, albeit somewhat stiffly. Some of Virgil's accessories are small enough to swallow so the figure is not recommended for children under three. The overall verdict on Virgil Tracy, the Talking Action Figure? Well, as mentioned, every real Thunderbirds fan should have him. After all, no other action figure has anything to match a Thunderbird's Laser Cutter. (Age 3 and over) -Garreth Griffith.
Review Thunderbirds Talking Action Figure - Brains / Vivid Imaginations:A vital member of the Thunderbirds team, the Brains Talking Action Figure adds a touch of genius to your Thunderbirds collection. Brains is dressed in a cool, blue cotton suit and wears his white jumper, blue loafers and huge spectacles with style. Accompanying Brains is a 12cm model of his chess-playing robot friend Braman. Each time you gently press his chest, Brains says one of three different phrases-there's a stuttering delivery of "Virgil, you'll need extra fuel", a worried "Don't fly too low Scott!" and a slightly concerned "Mr Tracy, detonation in four seconds". Brains is an essential for any Thunderbirds fan. He is well made and fun to play with, or just put up on a study shelf for nostalgia's sake. Although he doesn't bend at the elbow, knee, wrist or ankle, he can walk, swing his arms and turn his head and his unique cerebral qualities will be a bonus to any mission your Thunderbirds toys undertake. (Age 3 and over).

A panel tucked away at the back of the island reveals the faces of the main Thunderbirds characters-Lady Penelope, Brains, Scott, Alan, Gordon and Virgil-with a key pad to press to hear a selection of 12 of the most famous Thunderbirds phrases, including the particularly spectacular "Stand by for blast off" with a loud, crackling blast off sound that beats the rest hands down. A substantial 42x28 cm in size, the Thunderbird 2 freighter is action packed with features and devices to make it a worthy part of an International Rescue. As fans of the F. A. Two of the Tracy boys are included in miniature and fully articulated format-Thunderbird 2 Pilot Virgil Tracy and Thunderbird 4 aquanaut Gordon Tracy, ready to easily fit into the command chairs of their respective vehicles. The cockpit to Thunderbird 2 lifts up to reveal a F. A. B. control panel and seating for three members of International Rescue crew. Once the danger zone has been located, Thunderbird 2 can either lower its four legs at the press of a button, or if a landing is not possible Virgil can lower the winch hook under his cabin, and at the press of (yet another) button rewind to lift its load to safety. But maybe the danger lies deep at the ocean bed. Another commanding action from our rescue hero and Pod 4 drops from the centre body of Thunderbird 2, to deliver the high-speed mini-sub Thunderbird 4. Again the cockpit to Thunderbird 4 lifts up to allow Gordon Tracy to establish himself in full command of the turbo driven craft.
